Well, we are about one month away from this year's Tokyo Game Show. Since the drastic downsizing done to E3 in the past couple of years, TGS is now the biggest trade show in the game industry (though Leipzig is certainly not far behind).
As we get closer to the event, many publishers will inevitably be releasing their showing list, and the first out of the gate is RPG goliath Square Enix. Check out what RPGs they're planning to show off thus far:
Hands-On Titles
Chocobo's Mysterious Dungeon DS+ - Nintendo DS
Chocobo Tales: The Witch, the Girl, and the Five Heroes - Nintendo DS
Final Fantasy IV: The After - Cell Phone
Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days - Nintendo DS
Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep - PSP
The Last Remnant - Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC
Star Ocean: The Last Hope - Xbox 360
Valkyrie Profile: The Accused One - Nintendo DS
Eyes-On Titles
Chrono Trigger - Nintendo DS
Dragon Quest IX - Nintendo DS
Final Fantasy XI - PlayStation 2, Xbox 360, PC
Final Fantasy XIII - PlayStation 3, Xbox 360
Final Fantasy Agito XIII - PSP
Final Fantasy Versus XIII - PlayStation 3
Infinite Undiscovery - Xbox 360
Kingdom Hearts: Coded - Cell Phone
Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday - PSP
Song Summoner - iPod
???-On Titles
Ellark - Cell Phone
It is kind of surprising to see that Dragon Quest IX, a game that has been in development for what seems like a millenium, is only going to be at the show in trailer format.
The ???-On Titles are equally interesting. I would hope that The Last Remnant will at least be playable in some form, as it will be launching on Xbox 360 only about one month later.
This list, of course, may not be diffinitive, as Square Enix sure proved at E3 that it has more up its sleeve than it likes to let on sometimes.
You can check out Square Enix Japan's TGS list page here to see what other non-RPG titles they will be showing off. (Like Snoopy DS.)
UPDATE: It seems that both The Last Remnant and Star Ocean 4 will be playable at the show. They will also have new trailers on display as well. Nice!

What I really want to see is Cry On but I didn't see AQ Interactive on the list of attendees. Disappointing. Guess I'll settle for seeing Last Remnant and Star Ocean 4.
Yeah, me too.
It is still possible that it will be shown at a Pre-TGS press conference. Last year all of Microsoft's big announcements came at such an event, and since this year they seem to be inviting a lot of 3rd parties out to show off at their press conferences (Namco Bandai, Square Enix, FromSoftware, etc.), there is still a chance they'll show us something. Especially since the dev is Mistwalker.
I'd just like to see some gameplay and/or in-engine cutscenes from FF13.
That would be cool, but I'd advise against holding your breath.
I heard the reason FFXIII won't be playable at TGS is due to the Advent Children demo. I guess they really want that demo to sell. (I think it would sell regardless of FFXIII playable at TGS, but that's just my opinion.)
