Have Some Dragon Age II Screens and Details

So Dragon Age II will be out sometime early next year.

According to RPGamer, the title will follow a human named Hawke, who, over the course of 10 years, will rise from poverty to become very powerful. The player may create Hawke as either a male or female human, but not as any other race.

In addition to the above info, BioWare has released two new screens from the game, embedded here in this post for your viewing pleasure. I had heard that the visuals were going to be improved, but honestly they don't look very good. Better than the original's? Er, maybe...?

It has also been hinted that the game will feature an upgraded combat system, also reinforced by one of the released screens (assuming that it real-time combat, and not a cutscene).

Either way, Dragon Age II will be available for PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3 sometime next year.

Divinity 2 Still Alive, Has Screens to Prove It

Perhaps you remember Divinity 2? You know, that hack and slash PC-style RPG set for release early this year on PC and Xbox 360? Yeah, we haven't really had much of an update, but developer Larian Studios has dropped off some new screens to refresh your memory.

Divinity 2 takes place years after the death of the Divine (the hero of the original title) at the hands of a Dragon Knight. Furious at his death, the Divine's paladins swore revenge and formed the Dragon Slayers. Your character happens to be an apprentice Dragon Slayer, and you begin the game heading off to slay a dragon reported in the area.

Through some twist of fate, it appears that you will instead acquire the dragon's powers, and inadvertently become a Dragon Knight yourself.

Divinity II: Ego Dragonis will be available for PC and Xbox 360 sometime later this year in North America and Europe.

For more screens and the game's trailer, you can check out the game's official site here.

Kingdom Under Fire II Still Alive, Has Screens to Prove It

Korean developer Blueside has recently released a new dump of screenshots for their upcoming (?) RTS/action-RPG hybrid, Kingdom Under Fire II. The new screens also include shots of the second revealed hero (of which there are reportedly 18 in total), Isabella, an albino dark elf who leads a resistance faction known as Kaedes. She also apparently doesn't bother wearing clothes very much.

Kingdom Under Fire II is reportedly the direct sequel to Blueside's PC RTS-RPG Kingdom Under Fire (released as Kingdom Under Fire: A War of Heroes in North America), and is supposed to combine elements of real-time strategy, action-role-playing, and massive multiplayer online games. Exactly how that works or how the game plays remain a mystery.

Kingdom Under Fire II is reportedly in development for PC and "consoles" (though precisely which "consoles" is unconfirmed) for sometime either this year or next year.

Any diehard KUF fans here that can fill us in on how closely related these games are?

Venetica is Still Alive, Here are Screens to Prove it

If there are any out there who remember Venetica, the European-developed action-RPG following the daughter of Death, you might be wondering why things have been so hush-hush about it. Well, I don't know why either, but the game is still alive and well, and publisher DTP has sent some new screens to prove it.

Included with the screens, DTP and Deck13 have given some new details for the title as well. One main feature is the Twilight World, where souls go after death. Scarlett (the game's protagonist) will be able to travel between the world of the living and the Twilight World in order to converse with characters that have already passed on. She will also revert to this world if defeated in the world of the living.

The main antagonist of the game (as revealed so far), Viktor, also resides in the Twilight World, where he threatens both worlds using the stolen power of the Grimm Reaper.

According to the press release (which I'm too lazy to post in its entirity), the game is still on track for a 2009 release on Xbox 360 and PC, so I suppose that's good news. I'd personally like to see the game in motion a little more, but I guess I'll take what I can get for now.

TGS 2008: First (Leaked) Pic of the Next Tales of

So, the next Tales of (after Tales of Hearts) is going to be on the Wii. ...Aaaand that's all we know.

However, the press got a look at the game (in some fashion) at Nintendo's recent Not-TGS presser, and some wonderful soul grabbed a (fairly decent) snapshot of one of the characters in-game.

The pic really doesn't give us much to go by, and I can't even determine who the lead artist for the game is. My guess is Mutsumi Inomata, but from that angle, it really could be anyone. It is rumored that Team Destiny is heading up the project, but then, it is rumored that Team Destiny is also heading up the upcoming Tales of Hearts. ...Are they really that capable?

Majesco released a few new screens for E3. Take a look at them and imagine what it would be like to play it (since they didn't release a trailer).

AWAY will be available in North America in October 2008.

E3 2008: New Infinite Undiscovery Screens Reveal New Characters

Thanks to Gamersyde getting up brand new screens from tri-Ace and Square Enix's upcoming Xbox 360 exclusive Infinite Undiscovery, we may have a look at most (if not all) of the permanent cast members.

The screen shows 12 party members in total, but we have been told there will be 18 characters all together, and more that don't actually join your team, but will still fight with you.

In the shot you'll notice a few already revealed characters that are missing, including Sigmund and Gustav (Aya's "pet" bear), so including them, that would bring the currently revealed playable cast up to 14.

Capell, Aya, Mirche (who will aparently be called "Michelle" in the English version), Eugene, Eduardo, Luka, Roka, and Balbagan are all present and accounted for. Also included is a white haired character who has been revealed in previous media as Toma, though we still have no specific details on him yet. Additionally, a green haired guy (strongly resembling Rufus from Valkyrie Profile 2), a tall, blonde female (I think), and a dark haired girl (who's outfit and style lead me to believe she is a ninja of sorts) are also present.

I hate to sound like a broken record, but this game just looks better everytime I see it. The kunoichi character alone has pushed my excitement for this game over the top.

We'll keep you updated with Infinite Undiscovery as we learn more.

You can check out Gamersyde's IU screenshot gallery for E3 here.
