The latest issue of Famitsu has brought us some long-awaited news on tri-Ace and Square Enix's Star Ocean 4: The Last Hope, including two new characters and a fresh look at the game's battle system. Unfortunately, the scan is way hard to read.
The two newly revealed characters are Faize Sheifa Beleth, a young genius with refined tastes, and Lymle Remli Phi, a little girl gifted with Heraldry (or Symbology, whichever Englishization you prefer).
Star Ocean 4 will be at TGS next week with a new trailer at Square Enix's booth and a playable demo at Microsoft's booth. It will be available in Japan next spring. No current word on a North American or European release (but c'mon, we all know it's coming over here).
Open for translation request once legible scans surface.

Hey Brandon, a translation would be great if you have the time...this is my most anticipated game next year along with Cry-On! keep up the good work. Cheers.
I am still loving the character artwork for this game, and getting pretty excited despite not having played anything in this series before (Till the End of Time is sitting in my backlog). There's still a fairly good chance that this is coming to PS3 eventually, right?
@Chris:
No problem. I was planning on translating it anyway. The scans that are up right now are kind of hard to read, so I'm holding off to see if some better ones surface. Either way, I'd imagine the translations will be up within the next couple of days.
@Billy:
Can't say that I've heard anything about a PS3 version. Actually, right now Square Enix and tri-Ace have both said that there are no plans for a port. There may still be one at some point in the future, but I wouldn't bank on it. Sorry.
And I would definitely recommend the other games in the series. The upcoming PSP ports should be decent, but Til the End of Time will definitely play more like The Last Hope.
