There's something about watching from a hand-held camcorder, hollow and echoing audio, and floods of people moving around and talking that distracts from the overall brilliance of certain trailers. In this case, though I watched the new trailer for Tri-Crescendo and Namco Bandai's upcoming game Fragile, the elegance and melancholy of it were all but completely lost.
So, in order to properly present the sheer beauty of this game, I give you the direct feed trailer:
I will say this much: If the full game manages to capture and hold on to that beautiful sense of sadness that the Japanese do so well, Fragile: Farewell Lunar Ruins might become one of the most compelling and memorable video game experiences yet.
...If not, well, at least it will present the first wedding of waggle and flashlight mechanics into an RPG.
