Sega just released a new trailer for their upcoming DS SRPG with Flight Plan, Shining Force Feather.
I'm not particularly versed in the Shining Force official timeline, but Feather appears to take place 53000 years after the original Shining Force war (or something). And no, I didn't accidentally add a zero. That's 53 thousand years. Like, whoa man.

Shining Force Feather will be available on Nintendo DS on February 19, 2009 in Japan.
