I don't know if this is really news or not, but Konami Digital Entertainment has, as of August 1st, 2008, trademarked a potentially new title in its Suikoden series: "Suikoden Tierkreis" (Tierkreis being the German word for Zodiac).Since this is nothing more than a trademark, it is certainly no confirmation of any real game (Namco Bandai trademarks potential Tales of titles all the time, most of which are never used). However, it does mean that Konami is thinking of continuing the long-running Suikoden series in North America (the trademark was filed with the United States Patent and Trademark Office).
There is currently no official word from Konami regarding this trademark, so any guesses about the game's style or target platform would be speculation at best.
The Suikoden series has always been pretty "meh" for me, but I know it certainly has its fans.
