Dragon Quest V Trailer Reminds You that Dragon Quest V is Almost Out

Holy crap, I totally spaced Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride. It apparently comes out next week in North America and Europe! Where the hell have I been?!

Anyways, Square Enix just dropped off a new trailer that kind of gives you the run-down on the title in case you were curious as to what this whole Dragon Quest V thing is all about. You can check it out below.

Hand of the Heavenly Bride is actually the third release of Dragon Quest V (the first being on Super Nintendo, the second on PlayStation 2), but is the first release of the game to see release outside of Japan. Interestingly, it is also frequently cited as a fan-favorite title in the series.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride will be available on Nintendo DS on February 17, 2009 in North America, and on February 20, 2009 in Europe.

Square Enix Confirms Star Ocean 2, Dragon Quest V for Europe

Square Enix sure has been showing Europe a lot of love lately, and they look to continue the trend with two handheld RPGs confirmed for next month.

Star Ocean: Second Evolution has been confirmed for European PSP on February 13, 2009, while Dragon Quest: Hand of the Heavenly Bride has been announced for February 20, 2009.

Both of these dates are very close to their North American releases, which is certainly nice news for our friends on the other side of the Atlantic.

Square Enix Confirms 2 DS RPGs for North America

In news that should surprise absolutely no one, Square Enix has confirmed that both Dragon Quest V: Tenkuu no Hanayome and Valkyrie Profile: Toga wo Seou Mono will be making the jump to North American DSes early next year.

This brings Square Enix's confirmed 2009 lineup to 4 titles (including Star Ocean: Second Evolution for PSP and Star Ocean: The Last Hope for Xbox 360), all of which drop within the first quarter of the year. A good start.

Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride will be available on February 17, 2009, while Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume will be available on March 17, 2009.

Act surprised.
