A Bunch of Random New Trailers

Y'know, as hard as it may be to believe, I don't always have something to say about every RPG. Just usually. ;)

Today a bunch of trailers I have never seen before surfaced for a few games that I really have very little interest in. But you might. So I'm going to post them. Below. So you can, y'know, watch them. If you want.

Item Getter
Nintendo DS
5pb.
June 4, 2009 (Japan)

Dungeons & Dam (Dan - Damu)
Nintendo DS
Acquire
April 29, 2009 (Japan)

Sacred Blaze
PlayStation 2
Flight Plan
Currently Available (Japan)

Hmm, I think that Dan-Damu trailer might have already been posted. Oh well, whatever.

Dungeons & Dam gets a Release Date

Whoa, I totally forgot all about Acquire's dungeon-exploring/dam-building DS RPG, Dungeons & Dam (Dan-Damu for short in Japanese).

Originally announced ambiguously for Spring 2009, Acquire just dropped word that the quirky title will be available this April in Japan, and have simultaneously expanded their official website to show off more of the game.

Dan-Damu features traditional JRPG dungeon crawling with curious mini-games like redirecting water for your dam construction.

Dungeons & Dam will be available for Nintendo DS on April 29, 2009 in Japan.

Dungeons & Dam Trailer Might Kill You

If you have an aversion to extremely Japanesey things, I would recommend you absolutely do not watch the below embedded trailer for Acquire's Dungeons and Dam (Dan - Dam). Seriously, so much high-pitched spunky JPop coupled with obnoxiously cute anime characters doing ridiculous things is a recipe for death for any but the most devoted Japanophile.

You've been warned. If your head implodes while watching this video, it's entirely your own damn fault.

Of course, being a DS trailer, you should all expect not to see a shred of gameplay in this trailer, so in that regard it delivers.

Dan - Dam will be available on Nintendo DS in Japan on Nintendo DS sometime next spring. No word on a North American or European release at the moment.

Acquire Announces Dungeons & Dam

I'm not sure exactly what to say for this one. Should I comment on the fact that Acquire makes the Tenchu series? Should I ridicule the game's clearly ridiculous name? Should I complain about yet another DS RPG? I just don't know where to start here.

Anyhow, Dan-Damu (the Japanese shortening of the title of the game) is boasted by the article as the world's first Dungeon Defense RPG. Maybe "RPG" is a little misleading. The game apparently features heavy simulation elements, which, due to the low quality of the scan, I
am having a hard time reading. But they're in there.

Dan-Damu will be available in Japan next Spring.

Once reasonable scans for the game surface I will take requests for translations.
