E3 10: Fable III gets a Release Date
Well, Microsoft's E3 presser just wrapped up, and though there wasn't much in the way of new reveals, Lionhead's upcoming Fable III did get a new trailer and an October release date.
Though its probably not worth mentioning here, Microsoft's star of the show, their new motion sensing gizmo, Kinect, while a pretty cool little piece of tech and something my wife would likely enjoy, is not exactly what I was hoping to see from the house of Xbox.
Obligatory sad face. :(
Fable III will be available for Xbox 360 on October 26, 2010 in North America (and presumably near that date in Europe).

Big Fable III Announcement at X10 will Apparently Piss You Off

This much is not news (yet).
However, one announcement we have already been told to expect is one related to Lionhead's upcoming Fable III, which is due sometime this year. Lionhead boss Peter Molyneux - generally infamous for brash statements and over-hype - told Game Reactor last week that many gamers may not be happy about it.
"There's some very, very big things happening in Fable III, and it's really going to upset people. I'm really scared when I go out and tell people what it is [that] they're going to get super pissed off. They really are."
Well, I'll make sure I'm sitting down for it.
Personally, my guess is that Fable III will require Project Natal, which I can definitely see pissing some people off. But since I also expect the next Zelda to require Motion Plus, I don't see it as that big of a deal. Unless of course Natal will cost $100+.
Any speculations?

Peter Molyneux Sort of Confirms Next Fable II DLC

Molyneux confirmed that the next batch of DLC, titled See the Future, will be available "this spring," which he went on to clarify would be a matter of weeks, rather than months.
See the Future will apparently be much more story-driven than the previously released Knothole Island, and will supposedly answer some questions that long-time Fable fans may have (assumedly tying up some loose ends between the original and Fable II). More importantly, however, Molyneux states that See the Future will give players a glimpse at what is next for the series, going so far as to hint that the DLC will be a shadow of things to come in Fable III.
No word on specific dates or prices for See the Future, but we expect to hear more sooner than later.
Fable II is already available for Xbox 360 worldwide.
