In a recent press release, Konami has confirmed that the first handheld iteration of their Suikoden series (Gensou Suikouden in Japan), Suikoden Tierkreis, will indeed be making its way to North American DSes early next year.The game is currently set to release on March 17, 2009. This is extremely close to the game's Japanese release, which is set for December 18, 2008. Kudos to Konami for doing such a good job at getting us their games so quickly after their Japanese release.
Suikoden Tierkreis not only features a new storyline, original characters, and crappier graphics, but also supports DS Wi-Fi play, providing the first game in the series to enable online co-op play.
So, yeah.
