Hello. It is Monday. I am very tired. There is only 1 RPG coming out in the whole world this week (August 10 - 14, 2009). I think I'll take a nap soon.
North America
Phantom Brave: We Meet Again - Nippon Ichi, NIS America - Nintendo Wii
Japan
(none)
Europe

Wow. If you are hoping for a new RPG this week, I hope you like PS2 SRPG ports. Because that's all you'll get. Sorry about that.

You were totally right about Tales of Vesperia. I didn't think I would like it because I didn't like Symphonia, but it was on sale on Amazon for $22.49 so I decided to give it a try. What a great game! I can't stop playing it. The characters are just fantastic, and the combat is addicting. I sure hope they're planning another 360 Tales after the Wii one.
I'm glad you like it!
ToV is definitely my favorite RPG so far this gen, and I wish more people would give it a chance.
Congrats on the purchase. (Sounds like you also picked up a 360, so congrats on that, too. Let me know if you need any recommendations!)
It's actually a loaner 360, but the person who loaned it to me has another one they play on, so I basically never need to give it back. :) And I'll tell you what, I used to be all about Sony, but after trying the 360, Microsoft has totally won me over and I really doubt I'll even bother with a PS3 now (especially if FFvsXIII crosses platform). In terms of RPGs, aside from Vesperia, I really like Lost Odyssey (though I've pretty much set it aside now to focus on beating Vesperia). I've also tried out Last Remnant and Oblivion, and I picked up Infinite Undiscovery ($10 brand new!) and Phantasy Star Universe but I haven't opened those yet. I'd like to try Star Ocean 4 but not until it comes down in price a bit. My gamertag is Ryuukishi634 btw.
Yeah, I was in a very similar situation to you. After switching to PSX from SNES, and then owning a PS2, I was pretty much convinced that there was no other game system that could disuade me from the PlayStation brand (and actually had a bit of anti-Xbox sentiment when the 360 first launched).
However, since having more exposure to the 360 and even the Wii, I've come to really feel like a console's worth is measured in how much fun you have playing it, and not so much about which giant mega-corp makes it. :P
Just beat Vesperia tonight. :) Great game. What's your tag Brandon? I want to check out your achievements.
With all the talk of gamertags I'll also post mine its zerolocked (just like my user-name)
I do plan on picking up Spectrobe Origins for the Wii, that game looks pretty amazing.
my tag is crayonghost, but I'm only a Silver member (I really have no interest or time to play online), and right now my 360 isn't online, so I won't be able to add anyone for a while. sorry in advance.
