Apparently, publisher Graffiti Entertainment enjoyed receiving our Silver Vaporware Award so much, that they have decided to go for it for another year, as the publisher has announced this week that their eternally delayed neo-retro DS RPG, Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled, will be delayed by at least another month.For those of you new to the heart-wrenching drama of this title, let me give you a quick update on events surrounding it: Black Sigil (formerly Project Exile) never makes its release date.
Graffiti has offered no reason for the delay, but some fans have speculated that the game's original release of mid-March puts it at a competitive disadvantage against bigger name DS RPGs like Suikoden Tierkreis and Valkyrie Profile: Covenant of the Plume.
Whatever the reason, the delay has further reinforced to me that the game is never coming out. Ever. So I might as well just give up hoping.
Black Sigil: Blade of the Exiled will supposedly now be available for Nintendo DS on April 14, 2009.
Why?! Why must you always always break my heart, Black Sigil?! T^T

The fact is that the others RPG's should be afraid of BS. Black Sigil will be one of the best RPG of this era, in fact, we need classic and retro RPG.
Black Sigil certainly has a lot of potential. i suppose if it is ever released, we might be able to see if it lives up to it. :(

That's your personal opinion, but the fact is that the old school rpg isnt doing that well anymore (it's more something for the older hardcore gamer). The next generation want to see faster action en better graphics, especially in the EU and US. A lot of traditional RPG's from the last two years did not sell that well. I think ARPG's have more potential these days.

Its a two way street. You'll never get rid of the old school rpgs. They're still being made and brought back via 360/Wii/PS3 virtual counsels. I agree ARPG are popular, but its best to cater to both side. Because there will always be two sides to a coin.
Back to topic, I'm looking froward to this game, I have plenty to hold me even if it pushed back till next year...
